"No country becomes spontaneously evil. Nations behave largely as a result
of how they have been treated historically. Korea has been invaded,
colonised and exploited more than most countries in recent centuries."
To what extent does that apply to the explanation/analysis of human being (human behavior)?
====================================================================
No country becomes spontaneously evil. Nations behave largely as a result
of how they have been treated historically. Korea has been invaded,
colonised and exploited more than most countries in recent centuries. The
First Sino‐Japanese War of 1894–95 and the Russo‐Japanese War of 1904–05
were both fought in part for possession or influence over the Korean
peninsula. Japan, victorious in both wars, absorbed Korea into its empire
from the late nineteenth century until the end of World War II; it released a
culturally marginalised, impoverished and embittered Korea to stumble
into the middle of the twentieth century with no means of defending its
fragile independence.
